Beyond Academics

Chemistry lab is a required component, not only to give experiments their due place in the subject but also to promote an experimental culture in the school system. At Lancer’s, students are expected to indulge in a creative interplay of observation, experimentation and theoretical inferences amidst adequately equipped and modern apparatus pertaining to the development of their research and analytical temperament. A well-stocked and furnished cupboard, a fuming chamber and a separate store having a large number of organic and inorganic compounds, safely kept acids and bases, add to our spacious laboratory. Special apparatus like desiccators, crucibles and various fractionating columns to support investigatory projects are also available.

The practice of the reactions and scientific mechanism is introduced to the students as early as in class IX with various activities and demonstrations during frequent lab visits. For students of Class XI and Class XII, chromatography, salt analysis, qualitative analysis of organic compounds and volumetric analysis besides a variety of core experiments prepare the students for the industry.
