WORK EDUCATION

Work education has been initiated for classes IX-XII in school in the accordance with CBSE guidelines. The objective of having Work Education in school is to have meaningful manual work, designed to prepare the pupils in producing either goods or services which are useful to the community.'

The school believes in holistic development of children and gives them a stepping into competitive working scenario at the same time, a team of council members is elected every year. A well set election procedure is in place to sift the best and the most efficient amongst all the learners. A panel of evaluators is constituted to minutely scrutinize and judge each candidate for the honorary posts. Academic performance, execution of co-scholastic domains, inter personal relations and zeal to perform constitute the chief areas looked into.

Work Education can add considerable clout to a student’s CV by imparting genuine value and real life skills. Work may not be on their priority list but by participating in something productive, they can claim its dividends later. The activities for classes IX-X cater to Family Budget Planning, Preparation and usage of First Aid Kit, Cleanliness Drive and Electrical Understanding.

The confidence and practical skills needed outside the school ambit are built through these activities and the learner stands in good stead when it comes to getting hired.
